Getting Connected PDF Print E-mail

How do I get involved at South Brooke?

This is a frequently asked question and a good one for people who perhaps have been “attenders” but really want to get plugged in.

Make a commitment to involvement

If we know Jesus Christ as our Savior, then we need to make a commitment to Him to be involved in His church.  SBCC is all about helping people find a place where they can connect with Christ and with others so that they can be fully-devoted followers of Christ.  A commitment is not about what we will receive, but rather, how we can worship and serve Christ.

Try services seven Sundays

Make an effort to be in the same gathering for seven weeks in a row.  Consistency helps you to become familiar with faces and make friends more easily.  If you only attend once or twice a month, it is harder to get acquainted and to feel at home.

Try a Small Group

The best thing that SBCC has to offer any person is the opportunity to be in a face-to-face group where then can begin to experience God and other believers in authentic sharing.  Contact one of our small groups through the church office.  While these groups meet in specific seasons, you may want to try more than one group before you find the best fit.

Make Contact

In any of these areas, whether you are a young person or an adult, it’s important to “reach out and touch someone.”  Write a note on your communication card, call the church office, send us an email or stop by and let us help you make the next step of involvement.

Hang in There

Remember that be getting involved, you are being “counter-cultural”.  Everything about American life these days says don’t commit to anything or anyone and keep your options open.  That may be very “American”, but it keeps you from one of the most important aspects of what God created us for and that is relationships.

SBCC is committed to you and your family…

…and helping you make a difference in your life, your own family, and your own world of influence where God has placed you.  Come join us and become all that God wants you to be.
